Abstract

Public transportation, as a mobility system, allows citizens to move around their cities, hence the importance of improving transportation conditions as the population grows. Therefore, this research is a quantitative study, using a survey as a measurement instrument, considering seven factors consistent with findings in literature: safety, accessibility, information, comfort, environmental aspects, time, and service attitude. The study was limited to the state of Nuevo León, as it is among the 10 states with the largest populations in Mexico. By identifying the impact of these factors, a model is established that provides a framework for improving user perceptions of the cost of public transportation
